CARROLL, WILLIAM "BILL," 88, returned to his Heavenly Father Tuesday, October 15, 2013 while at Signature Four Courts at Cherokee Park.

He was born July 29, 1925 in Elizabethtown to the late James Hiram and Mildred McMillan Carroll. Bill served our country in the U.S Army during World War II, retired from GE, was a KY Colonel and was a member of St. Bartholomew Church.

Along with his parents; daughter, Jan Terry; siblings, James H. Carroll Jr., Frances Harper, Mildred Kruer, and Patrick Carroll have preceded him in death.

Left to carry on his memory are his wife of 58 years, Patricia Maguire Carroll; daughter, Nancye Hicks; son, Mark Carroll (Andrea); daughters, Kimberly Raber (Christopher), Karen Carroll (Craig); son, Todd Carroll; along with grandchildren, Nikki Fast, Tiffany Lusch, Troy Hicks, Joe Carroll, Chad Terry, Brandi Reynolds, Scott Rich, Lilly Rich, Hunter Carroll; and great grandchildren, Lauren Reynolds and Landon Terry.

The family would like to recognize Marie Carroll for being a special part of the family and being there for Bill.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Bartholomew Church, 2040 Buechel Bank Road, with interment at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 4-8 p.m. Friday at Ratterman and Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road.
