GRAINGER, WILLIAM "KENT," passed into the great unknown on Saturday, June 15, 2013.

Kent was born in La Porte, Ind., the son of Alfred C. and Georgia K. (Pitman) Grainger but lived in Kokomo, Ind., during his formative years. He graduated from Kokomo High School and enrolled at Indiana University, Bloomington, during the 1960's graduating with a BS in Marketing. After graduation, he served as a Lt. Junior Grade in the Navy, serving on the USS Mauna Loa and the USS Wm. B Pratt.
He worked in corporate computer sales for Univac, Control Data, and finished his career as a Dist. Sales Mgr. for Unisys Corp, Louisville. In retirement, he completed an Associate Degree in computer programming and did contract work.
He is survived by his wife Sherry, La Crosse, WI; son, Justin (Melissa) Grainger, Louisville, KY.; step-daughter, Danielle Fiorini, Des Moines, IA; two grandchildren, Will Grainger, Louisville and Mia Cason, Des Moines; twin sister, Jane Wines, La Crosse, WI; sister, Toni Grainger, Dayton, Ohio; brother, Rex (Barbra) Grainger, Kokomo, IN.; numerous nieces and nephews; and former wife, Diann Grainger, Louisville.
Memorials should be directed to the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Foundation, La Crosse, WI, for the Cancer Program or the National Parkinson's Foundation.
He was an intelligent, courageous, and honorable man with a great sense of humor. He will be deeply missed by all he touched. A celebration of life will be held in La Crosse, WI, in the fall.
