OGBURN, WILLIAM H., 85, of Louisville, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, December 27, 2013 surrounded by family.

Bill was a Louisville native and retired as VP and General Manager of Delmonico Foods/Hershey Pasta.He was a graduate of St. Xavier High School and the University of Notre Dame. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Lucille Ogburn; his brother, Robert Ogburn; and great granddaughter, Avery Ogburn.

He is survived by his loving, devoted wife Huberta "Birdie" and is the proud father of and survived by nine children, William Douglas, John Denis (Kathy), Stephen (Angela), Mark (Valerie), Chris, Patrick ( Staci), Michael (Tracy), Jean Marie (John), and Thomas (Caroline). He has 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, James; and a sister in law, Beverly.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon on Monday, December 30, 2013 at St. Stephen Martyr Catholic Church, 2931 Pindell Avenue at Hess Lane with burial to follow at St. Michael Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. on Sunday at Bosse Funeral Home, 1355 Ellison at Barret Avenues.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the William Ogburn Scholarship Fund at St. Xavier High School or Dare-to-Care.
