Alan Wallace Bell Tyngsboro volunteer firefighter; 66 -- TYNGSBORO -- Mr. Alan Wallace Bell, a proud longtime resident of Tyngsboro, died unexpectedly Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Lowell General Hospital. He was married to Joan (Edwards) Bell with whom he celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary this past December 22. -- Born in Lowell on October 2, 1946, he was the son of Christina (Clarke) Bell of Tyngsboro and the late George A. Bell. Alan was raised in Tyngsboro and attended Tyngsboro public schools. He retired from Fletcher Granite as a machinist and forklift operator in 2007. During his career, he worked at Johnson Abrasive for a short time. Alan was an avid New England sports fan. He was a volunteer firefighter in Tyngsboro. He was a member of the Sons of Veterans at the Tyngsboro American Legion. Alan enjoyed playing Darts, horseshoes, and Billiards. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Wayne Bell of Milford, NH, Jonathan and his wife, Brigette (Langlois) Bell of Tyngsboro; a grandson, George Bell of Tyngsboro; a step-son, Nick Rabchenuk of Brighton, MA; a sister, Elaine Carlson of San Diego, CA. He is also survived by many cousins. He was the brother of the late Phyllis A. Bell.
