Albert L. 'Butch' Mondazzi, Jr.
Formerly of Lowell, Army Vet; 63

ATTLEBORO -- Albert L. "Butch" Mondazzi, Jr., 63, of Attleboro, passed on December 2, 2013, at home surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Virginia (Wood) Mondazzi.

Born in Lowell on December 21, 1949, he was a son of the late Albert L. Mondazzi, Sr. and Constance (Langes) Mondazzi. Butch was educated in Lowell schools and also earned an Associate's Degree.

He served his country proudly as a member of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Butch worked for 19 years at AmerisourceBergen in Mansfield in various positions.

He was an avid sports fan who supported all New England teams, and enjoyed following college football and basketball. He truly lived and breathed sports. He also loved spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, Virginia, Butch is survived by two daughters, Tasia Rego and her husband, Mike of Truro, and Kristen Bosch and her husband, Ismeal of Lowell; two stepchildren, Andrew Fuller and his wife, Melissa of Norfolk, and Kathryn Antonitis of Attleboro; a sister, Pamela Mondazzi of Lowell; and eight grandchildren who were his pride and joy.

He was the brother of the late Michael Mondazzi, and the late Paula Tenczar.

MONDAZZI -- Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the RJ Ross Funeral Home, 135 South Street, Route 1A, Wrentham Centre, MA, on Friday from 5-8 PM. His funeral will be next Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 10:30 AM in St. Mary's Church, 130 South Street, Wrentham. Burial will follow in Wrentham Centre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: , Central New England Region, 5 Manley Street, West Bridgewater, MA 02379 or Hospice of CVNA, 10 Emory Street, Attleboro, MA 02703.
