Loving husband and father

CHELMSFORD -- Anthony J. "Tony" D'Arrigo, the beloved husband of Leni R. Abramson, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at Lowell General Hospital. He was 63 years old.

Tony was born in Boston on February 8, 1949, the only son of the late Anthony and Providence (Gentile) D'Arrigo. He attended the Boston Schools and was a graduate of Hyde Park High School. Tony was also a graduate of Boston State College.

Mr. D'Arrigo was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.

He was employed as the Business Development Manager at Stoneham Ford. Tony loved his job and the many people he worked with there.

He was the Best Dad to his daughters, Alison and Amy, and to his son, Michael.

Tony was a sports fanatic and especially enjoyed the Patriots. He was known as a TV guru and a Rolling Stones fan. His hobbies included boating and cars. Tony loved being with his friends.

He was the "extra Dad" to Laura, Niki, Kyle, Conor, Katie, and Mike.

Surviving Tony are his wife, Leni R. Abramson; his daughters, Alison D'Arrigo and Amy D'Arrigo; his son, Michael D'Arrigo, all of Chelmsford; his sister, Connie Fagerberg; his two nephews, Eric Fagerberg and Fred Fagerberg; and his extended family, Richard McPherson, Joan Prendergast, and Julie Eberhart, all of Chelmsford, Dennis Jones of Hyde Park, and Beryl Einheber of Blue Bell, PA.

Family and friends may call at the FAY McCABE FUNERAL HOME, 105 MOORE STREET, LOWELL, on FRIDAY from 4 until 8 P.M. with a ceremony celebrating Tony's life at 7 P.M.
