Dominick DiMassino Sr.

Lived in Tewksbury, MA; Vet; 81

Dominick DiMassino Sr., 81, of Ormond Beach FL, formerly of Tewksbury, MA, passed away on May 29, 2014 with his family by his side. He was born in Rochester, NY on Sept. 1, 1932 to Emidio and Josephine (Nuccetelli) DiMassino. He was raised in Everett, MA and graduated at Everett High School in 1951. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S.A.F. serving in the Korean War maintaining the famous P-51 Mustangs and other military aircraft. After serving his country, he married the joy of his life Audrey Wilson (a former Boston Ballet Ballerina) in 1956 raising four children together. He graduated from Burdett College and later Northeastern University with a BSBA Bachelor of Science degree in Business. Employed as a Production Manager at Raytheon, RCA Corp., and was proprietor of the Longhorn East Restaurant in Derry, NH. Dad greatly enjoyed the large family reunions in New England over the years especially, the time together with his family. He was well known for his wit and funny sense of humor that always left you smiling. He could fix or do most anything and if it didn't exist, he would make it. He also loved his New England sport teams, the Red Sox and Patriots. Dad will be sadly missed by his wife & children.

He is survived by his loving wife, Audrey DiMassino, his four children, Dominick DiMassino Jr. and wife, Ellen, John DiMassino, Audrey Wilson, David DiMassino and wife, Robin, his five granddaughters, Danielle Farris and husband, Bruce, Christina Edmonds and husband, Jeff, Amanda, Darian, and Lauren DiMassino; two great-grandsons, Jace and Colton Edmonds. Also, he will be sadly missed by his three sisters, Ida Cempe, Eva McCormack and husband, Douglas, and Mary Simpson; in-laws, Stanley and Kathy Wilson, Rose Marie Wilson; as well as many nieces and nephews.
