of Dracut, Navy Vet; 90

DRACUT, MA -- Eileen F. Enger, 90, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, November 26th, at her home with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Ralph D. Enger who preceded her in 1982.

Eileen was born in Lowell on March 3, 1923. She was the daughter of the late Arthur Smith and Mary (Courtemarche) Smith. She received her education through the Lowell School System and was a graduate of Lowell High School. She resided in Lowell and Dracut her entire life.

She proudly served her country during WWII enlisted in the United States Navy where she worked packing parachutes. She was also employed at Raytheon as an assembler for 25 years until her retirement in 1988.

In her free time, Eileen enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, and in her younger years cross stitched, but her most cherished time was spent with her loving family.

She is survived by her four children, Christine Koutrobis of Dracut, Ralph Enger and his wife, Janine of Beverly Hills, FL, Denise Enger of Dracut, and Glenn Enger and his wife, Julie of Dracut; her two sisters, Margaret Goodwin of Indiana, and Jacqueline Marr and her husband, James of NH, her six grandchildren, Shawn, Nicole, Kerrie, Brianna, Eric; as well as, several nieces and nephews.

ENGER -- At Eileen's request, there will be no calling hours. Friends and relatives are invited to Eileen's Funeral Mass on FRIDAY, November 29th at St. Michael Church in Lowell at 10 AM. Please meet directly at the church. Burial will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of DRACUT FUNERAL HOME.
