PORT ST. LUCIE, FLORIDA -- Frederick J. Maguire, 83, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, died peacefully with family by his side on January 18, 2013, at the Treasure Coast Hospice House in Fort Pierce, Florida. He was born in Lowell, MA, the son of the late Hugh and late Frances Maguire. Fred was married to the late Jean Maguire who died in November 2012. They made their home in Dracut, MA until moving to Port St. Lucie in 2003.

Before moving to Florida, Fred was a parishioner of St. Rita's Church in Lowell, MA. He was a veteran of the Air Force serving during the Korean War and was employed by J.G. MacLellan Concreate Company in Lowell until his retirement. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 49. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 0355 in Port St. Lucie and was a member of the Korean War Vets of the Treasure Coast, Chapter 106.

Fred is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Jacqueline Nelson of West Palm Beach, Florida, Karen and Martin Quinn of Lowell, MA, Patricia and Mark Nyman of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Susan and David Provencher of Saco, Maine and Deborah and Charles Hurley of Pelham, NH; his son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Jeannette Sheehan of Knightdale, North Carolina; his sister, Frances Tully of Haverhill, MA; his sister-in-law, Irene Salicki of New Britain, CT; a niece, Jeannette L'Heureux of Dracut, MA; a nephew, Donald Tully of Ayer, MA; eleven grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents and wife of 34 years, Fred was preceded in death by his sister, Harriett Couillard, his twin brother, Paul, and his nephew, Joseph Couillard.

MAGUIRE -- Funeral services were held in Port St. Lucie, Florida. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 23, at 9:00 at St. Rita's Church, 158 Mammoth Road, Lowell.
