Gerard J. Piche of Dracut; formerly of Lowell; 82 -- LOWELL -- Mr. Gerard J. Piche, age 82, of Dracut, formerly of Lowell, died Sunday, July 7th, 2013, at Lowell General Hospital. He was the husband of the late Yvette I. (Tourville) Piche, who died in 2006. -- He was born in Lowell on June 28th, 1931, son of the late Joseph Arthur Piche and Marie (Drolet) Piche. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a Machinist and Welder at International Shoe in Nashua for 23 years. Previously he worked for JP Stevens in Dracut for 15 years. He was a communicant of St. Francis Parish in Dracut. He is a Life Member of the Disabled American Veterans (D.A.V.). He was also a former member of the Club Passe Temps, and Lafayette Club. He is survived by 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Donald & Collette Piche of Dracut, Paul & Elizabeth Piche of Gorham, Maine, and Jay & Tatiany Piche of Hudson, NH; a daughter, Linda Ducharme of Dracut; 6 grandchildren, Susan and Kelsi Piche, Denis and Sean Ducharme, Sheila Morris and Amanda D'Angelo; 7 great--grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. -- He was also father-in-law of the late Denis Ducharme; and brother of the late Maurice and Albert Piche, and Rita Burgoyne. PICHE -- Gerard J., age 82, of Dracut: According to his wishes, Cremation took place Tuesday. Relatives & Friends are invited to his Memorial Visitation at the M.R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell, MA on Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday July 12 at 9:00 AM at St. Francis Church, 115 Wheeler Rd., Dracut. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH) Interment will be private at St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford.
