CHELMSFORD -- Jeanne C. Dufresne, age 56, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2014, at Lowell General Hospital - Saints Campus, after an extended illness.
She was born in Lowell on April 5, 1957, the beloved daughter of Claire A. (Grenier) Dufresne and the late Joseph V. M. "Maurice" Dufresne. Jeanne was a resident of Chelmsford and was formerly of Lowell where she was a communicant of the former Ste. Jeanne d'Arc Parish.
She was a member of LifeLinks in Chelmsford, an organization designated for individuals with developmental disabilities. Jeanne loved playing bingo, scratch tickets, and card games, especially UNO. She was also a big fan of the New England Patriots and participated and competed in the Special Olympics.
Besides her mother, Claire Dufresne of Lowell, she is survived by her two brothers, Richard Dufresne and his wife, Susan of Lowell, and Paul Dufresne and his wife, Dorothy of Windham, NH; two nieces and a nephew, Michelle Harvey, Brad Dufresne, both of Lowell, and Nichole Dufresne of Windham, NH; also many dear friends and her devoted caregivers that have cared for her throughout her life.
DUFRESNE -- A private funeral service and interment was held on Saturday, March 29 at St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford.
