Karl M. Gladstone of North Andover

Karl M. Gladstone, 84, of North Andover, died unexpectedly at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston on Saturday afternoon. Raised in Billerica, Mr. Gladstone owner of KG Associates of Andover was a well known Real Estate Developer and Philanthropist in the Merrimack Valley. He was an avid supporter and Trustee of Merrimack College, belonging to both support groups; Men of Merrimack College and Friends of Merrimack College. He was a recipient of an Honorary Doctorate Degree from the College. Mr. Gladstone was also a Trustee of Beth Israel-Deaconess Hospital, Bon Secours Hospital Men's Guild and a Trustee of Lowell General Hospital. He belonged to Rotary Club of Merrimack Valley, Billerica Elks Club and the Aleppo Temple of Shriners. He was the devoted husband of the Joyce (Blumsack) Gladstone. The beloved father of Heidi Gladstone, Elaine Baraby and the late Richard Gladstone. He also is survived by his cherished grandchildren, Ashley, Whitney, Lauren and Andrew Baraby, Rachel and Cortney Gladstone and Nicole Hutcheon. He was a dear brother of Alfred Gladstone, Paul Gladstone, and the late Sumner Gladstone. He shall also be missed by his pet dog companions, Tommy, Timmy and Teddy.

Services at Temple Emanuel, 7 Haggetts Pond Road (off Route 133), Andover on Tuesday, April 29 at 12:00 Noon. Interment in Beth El Cemetery Chelmsford. Memorial week will be private. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the M.S.P.C.A. at Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
