of Chelmsford; 84

CHELMSFORD -- Normand A. Morin, 84 died Tues., April 1, 2014 at his home in Chelmsford from Parkinson's Disease.

Born in South Lowell Dec 3, 1929 son of the late Arthur & Yvonne (Jette) Morin. As a young man worked the Morin Family Farm & Store & was a graduate of LHS & worked the historical Lowell Mills.

A Korean War Navy Veteran Norm proudly served aboard the USS Bordelon DD/DDR 881 traveling the world. In 1952 was medically retired & honorably discharged from St. Albans Military hospital & awarded a good conduct medal. He enrolled as an engineering major at Lowell Tech & went onto a 52 year career as a Technical Writer for Raytheon.

Norm enjoyed all life had offered from sailing the Atlantic to climbing the Appalachian Mountains & everything in between. He was a lifelong member of the Knickerbocker in South Lowell that his father had founded as member #1 associated with St Marie's Church. But the greatest joy & love of Norm's life was his family! He is survived by his wife Louise (Dussualt) Morin; daughter Christine & husband Jonathan Kiley; 3 grandchildren Yvonne, Colleen, Liam; brother & wife Ronald & Linda Morin; niece Theresa ( Morin) Laffy; 3 stepchildren Thomas, Karen, Robert.

MORIN -- Normand wanted his life celebrated not mourned. Relatives and Friends can be received and celebrate his life at The Knickerbocker Club on 36 Chamberlain St. in Lowell Fri., April 25, 2014 starting at 8:30pm. The funeral will be held at Holy Family Parish (St. Marie's) on April 26 2014 at 11:00 AM.
