LOWELL -- Mr. Raymond L. Mireault, age 61, of Lowell, died peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, at Mass. General Hospital in Boston, following a lengthy illness.
He was born in San Bernardino, CA, on Sept. 21, 1952, son of the late Theodore L. Mireault and Arlene D. (White) Mireault. Growing up in a military family, in which both his parents served, he lived in many parts of America and abroad.
He attended Salem State College, and then graduated from UMass Lowell with a Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design,
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He was employed by the Lowell Senior Center as the graphic designer and publisher of the City of Lowell Senior Newsletter. Ray truly enjoyed his work at the senior center. He spoke often of the wonderful people there. Previously, he managed several car dealerships in MA and NH.
Ray had a love for photography; he was always the one with the camera at family parties. He also loved going to the Folk Festival in Lowell taking pictures and listening to the live bands. Ray enjoyed playing darts, backgammon, cards, jager, camping with his lifelong friends, music, dancing and having a good time.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Beth Brown of Lowell; two sons, Brandon Mireault of Derry, NH, and Brett Mireault of Haverhill; a daughter, Brianna Mireault of Haverhill; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Theodore Mireault II and his wife, Colleen of Pelham, NH, Ronald Mireault of Lowell, and 1SG Robert Mireault (Ret.) of Colorado Springs, CO; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Robin Gatzimos of Manchester, NH, and Roxanne Cunningham and her husband Rick of Pepperell, MA; a grandson, Caleb Grandmaison; also many nieces & nephews.
He was also brother of the late Richard Mireault.
MIREAULT -- Raymond, age 61, of Lowell. Following his Cremation, Relatives & Friends are invited to his Memorial Visitation at the M.R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell, MA on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013 from 1:00 until 3:00 PM. Final interment is private.
