Robyn M. McHugh Obituary
Robyn M. McHugh
Methuen Public School Teacher

TEWKSBURY -- Robyn M. (Grasing) (Wise) McHugh, age 55, a resident of Tewksbury for the past 12 years, formerly of Wilmington and Stoneham, passed away at home, with her friends and family by her side, on Thursday, November 21, 2013.

Born in Ridgecrest, CA on July 16, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Donald Grasing and the late Joyce E. (Frost) Grasing. Robyn was raised in Ridgecrest, attended and graduated from Ridgecrest schools.

Robyn was an adventurous spirit and following graduation, she moved cross country and attended Boston University, where she received her Business Degree.

Robyn worked as a Logistics Manager for the Digital Equipment Corporation for many years.

Although successful in business, she later continued her education at the University of Phoenix, where she earned her Masters Degree in Education.

Prior to her illness, she pursued her true calling as a Special Needs Teacher for the Methuen Public School System.

A jack of all trades her interests were many. She was a published writer, a seamstress, a musician.

She often took her family on many outdoor adventures.

According to her family, she could fix anything. She was fiercely independent and dealt with life's pitfalls with an acerbic wit. She never hesitated to help those in need.

Robyn is survived by three children, Abigayle R. and Cassandra P. Wise, both of Tewksbury, currently attending Tewksbury High, and Brendan P. McHugh of Middleton; one brother, Eric W. Grasing; three sisters, Tanya L. Duin, Tamera L. Phelan, and Meris Bartlett, all of California; her former husband, Gregory D. McHugh of Tewksbury; and numerous close friends.

Robyn was pre-deceased by her daughter's father, Kevin Wise.

McHUGH -- Robyn M. Relatives and friends will be received Tuesday, Nov. 26, from 4-6 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury, immediately followed by her Memorial Service to be held in the funeral home.
