NASHUA, NH -- Stephen J. Kostoulakos, 92, of Nashua, NH, formerly of Dracut, died Thursday, October 3rd, 2013,at Aynsley Place in Nashua, New Hampshire.
He was the beloved husband for 66 years of Irene (Hatzithakis) Kostoulakos, who survives him.
Born in Dracut, Massachusetts on August 29, 1921, the son of the late Demetrios "James" and the late Marigo (Strobolakos) Kostoulakos, he attended Dracut schools and was a graduate of Dracut High School in the Class of 1939.
A veteran of World War II, Steve served in the U.S Navy as an Aviation Machinist's Mate.
Following his military service, Steve owned and operated the first cab company in Dracut.
At the same time he attended Bentley College at night and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance.
Steve went on to spend the majority of his career as part owner and Chief Financial Officer of Spray Engineering Company in Nashua, NH.
Active in the community, he was a proud and longtime member of the Lowell Rotary Club, the Masons and A.H.E.P.A.
Steve enjoyed spending time with his loved ones especially family lunch after church every Sunday.
In addition to his loving wife Irene, he is survived by two daughters Marcia and her husband Donald LeBrun and Stephanie and her husband Stephen Pappas all of Nashua; two granddaughters, Melissa Pappas of Nashua and Nicole Pappas of Woburn; a sister Antonia "Cookie" Sintros of Franklin; two brothers Thomas Kostoulakos and his wife Shirley of Nashua and Arthur Kostoulakos of Dracut; and many nieces and nephews.
Steve was predeceased by four sisters Esther Stamas, Clara Kouchalakos, Fotoula Konstantinakos, and Frances Kendall; and three brothers George Kostoulakos, Charles Kostoulakos and William Kostoulakos.
The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the staff at Aynsley Place in Nashua and Merrimack Valley Hospice for their loving and dedicated care, comfort and support.
KOSTOULAKOS -- Relatives and Friends will be received at the TRANSFIGURATION GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH, 25 Fr. John Sarantos Way in Lowell on Monday morning from 10 to 11 A.M. His Funeral Service will follow in the church at 11 o'clock. Burial in the Westlawn II Cemetery.
