of Lowell

LOWELL -- Sture A. Lundstedt, of Lowell, died Sunday, January 19, 2014, at the Westford House in Westford, MA.

Born in Sweden on August 5, 1922, the son of the late Carl E. and Hilma M. (Holmlund) Lundstedt. He was a graduate of Lowell High School with the class of 1941.

He served in the Philippines with the U.S. Army 25th Infantry Division during WWII. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart.

He was employed as a Building Contractor and Finish Carpenter. He was also a partner of the Lundstedt & Rondeau Builders Co. until his retirement in 1987.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Chelmsford. He was a Life Member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter - Edith N. Rogers Post 25.

Sture is survived by a brother, Roy E. and his wife, Edith (Greathead) Lundstedt of Nashua, NH; a brother-in-law, Raymond Wolnik of Davenport, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late C. Henry Lundstedt, Ingrid M. Trainor, Helen E. Marqus, Carl E. Lundstedt, and Doris A. Wolnik.

Funeral Wed. at 9 AM from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST., CHELMSFORD, with a Funeral Service at 10 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 170 Old Westford Rd., Chelmsford, MA 01824. Burial in Westlawn Cemetery, Lowell. Memorials may be made in his name to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 710 West 168th Street New York, NY 10032 or to the Trinity Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
