DELTONA, FL -- Theresa Leona (Harne) Casey, who was born September 12, 1927 in Lowell, died June 23, 2014 in Deltona, FL from complications related to Alzheimer's Disease. She suffered for many years with dementia, yet her wish to return to Dracut always remained.

She is predeceased by all of her siblings, which include Joseph, Rose, Arthur and Gladys, as well as her son, David.

She is survived by five children: Michael Casey of Lewiston, ME, Richard Casey and Debra Casey-Wood of Deltona, FL, Kathy Casey of Lowell and Joyce Casey of Dracut. Theresa is also survived by two grandchildren, Andrea Casey Teixeira of Wethersfield, CT and Joshua Casey of Deltona, FL, as well as one great grandchild, Joshua's daughter Amelia Jane Casey of Deltona, FL.

Additionally, she is survived by many nieces and nephews who brought her much joy throughout her lifetime.

Theresa attended Dracut Public Schools in her childhood and worked for many years at New England Pediatricts in Billerica, MA, as both a housekeeper and kitchen helper. She enjoyed both swimming as well as ice skating on Beaver Brook as a child, and was quite fond of figure skating competitions as an adult.

CASEY -- A memorial service will be held at St. Patrick's Chapel at 1251 Gorham St., Lowell on Friday, July 18 at 12 noon, followed immediately

by a gathering and celebration of her life at the VFW, 190 Plain St., Lowell. The family requests that stories and pictures, if available, are brought to the celebration for sharing. Burial will take place at the Oakland Cemetery on Pine Valley Drive in Dracut at 8 AM, Saturday, July 19 for those who wish to attend.
