AMHERST, NH -- William F. Haley, Jr., 80, of Amherst, NH, and formerly of Merrimack, NH, died Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Maple Leaf Health Care in Manchester, after a long illness.
He was born in Wakefield, MA, a son of the late William F. Sr., and Madeline (Chambelain) Haley. Mr. Haley was a US Air Force veteran serving during the Korean War as a Military Police.
Before retirement, he was a truck driver for Sanborns Express.
He was a member of St. James United Methodist Church in Merrimack.
Members of his family include his wife, Barbara (Susbury) Haley of Amherst; a son and daughter-in-law, David William and Sue Haley of Amherst; a daughter, Jean Cooper of Naples, FL; seven grandchildren, Barbara Murphy, Katie Thomas, Victoria Haley, Dylan and Jessie Cooper, and Kelsey and Sarah Hunt; three great-grandchildren, Grayson and Quinn Murphy, and Lucy Thomas; two brothers, Gerald and Dick Haley, both of Arlington, MA; and several nieces and nephews.
HALEY -- Calling hours are Monday from 5-8 P.M. in the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Hwy, Merrimack. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1 P.M. in the St. James United Methodist Church, 646 Daniel Webster Hwy, Merrimack. Burial will follow in Last Rest Cemetery, Merrimack.
