William T. "Bill" Shore

DUNCANVILLE, TEXAS -- William T. "Bill" Shore, a resident of Duncanville, Texas, passed away on November 24, 2013, at age 82. He was born August 21, 1931, in Lowell, Massachusetts, to William T. Shore Sr. and Helen (Bilodeau) Shore. On July 24, 1972, he married his present wife, Jonell (Kye Yun Cho) Shore. He attended Lowell High School and enjoyed returning to Lowell to attend his class reunions.
William proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 27 years, achieving the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. During that time, he earned 2 Air Force Commendation Medals and 3 Meritorious Service Medals plus many other awards. Subsequent to his retirement from the Air Force, he worked for the Texas Employment Commission for 2 years and later with the U.S. Army for 6 years as a recruiter for the Army and Army Reserve. He was an active member of Post 81, American Legion, Duncanville and a life member of the Disabled Veterans of America.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his son, Richard W. Shore of Melbourne, Florida, his daughter, Susan M. Perry of Jacksonville, Florida, and two grandsons, David Shore of Atlanta, Georgia, and Drew Perry, of Jacksonville, his sister and brother-in-law Maureen and Jim Carragher of Pelham, NH and several nieces and nephews in the area. He was the brother of the late Richard Shore.
SHORE -- A funeral with full military honors was held at the Fort Worth National Cemetery. A memorial mass will be held at St Michael Church, Lowell on March 30, 2014 at 9:00 a.m.
