Augustine S. Castillo, Jr. LUBBOCK- Services for Augustine S. Castillo, Jr., 66, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 5th, 2012 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints located at 3211 58th St with Bishop Randy Reddick officiating. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels The family of Augustine will receive friends at Guajardo Funeral Chapels, 407 N. University Ave from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday. Mr. Castillo died October 31, 2012 at UMC in Lubbock. He was born on September 19, 1946 in Belton, Texas to the late Augustine Sr. and Juanita Castillo. Augustine married the love of his life Dora Garcia on February 1967 in Dexter, New Mexico. Augustine was a committed sales person to his employer Russell Stover Candy where he retired. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans, the Boy Scouts of America and served as Ward Clerk for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Mr. Castillo faithfully served his county when he was drafted in the United States Army in September 1968. He also served in the Gulf War and Army Reserves. He retired from the Army in 2006. Survivors include his wife, Dora; children, Jaime, Gary, Kelly Rodriguez and Albert; and seven brothers, Paul, Henry, Johnny, Joe, Ricky, Bobby, and Gilbert. He is also survived by his sisters, Rosie, Mary Helen, Mamie, Emma, Billie, and Corina, and his five grandchildren, Victoria, Daniel, Noah, Gavin, and Kasen. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Roy and Jesse Castillo.
