Cleddie Edwards LUBBOCK - Cleddie Edwards, 90, of Lubbock, went to be with his Lord on Feb. 18, 2014 in Lubbock. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at South Crest Baptist Church. Cleddie was born on May 29, 1923 in Crosbyton, TX to S.H. and Sally Porterfield Edwards. He was a member of the South Crest Baptist Church in Lubbock. Cleddie was a Master Mason and a WWII Veteran; he served in the Army Air Corp and flew the Hump in the China Burma India Theater (BMI). He was an avid domino player. He graduated Law School from the University of Texas and practiced for 64 years in Lubbock at Anderson, Edwards, and Warnick. He was also the city Tax Attorney at one time. He is survived by one son, Ray Edwards of Lubbock; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
