Douglas Duane Housouer ADDISON- Douglas Duane Housouer of Addison, Texas passed away in Dallas, Texas July 14, 2013. Duane was born in Lubbock to Jacob and Inez Housouer on Sept. 29, 1942. He was a 1961 Monterey High School graduate and attended Texas Tech, majoring in marketing. He was the owner of Housouer Printing and Mailing in Lubbock for over 20 years. He was also an active member of the Rotary Club before moving to Addison, Texas in 1996 where he was a mortgage loan officer with Remington Mortgage until his retirement in 2007. He is survived by his wife, Sandi of Addison, Texas; son, Gary and wife Deanne of Plano, Texas; daughter, Susan Alvey and husband Kyle of Lubbock; daughter, Anna Elliott and husband Mitch of Lubbock; stepson, Mark Smith and wife Pam of Dallas; stepson, David Smith and wife Kate of Austin; 13 grandchildren, Avery Housouer of Plano, Brogan and Braxton Alvey of Lubbock, Josh, Jordyn, Jack, and Julia Elliott of Lubbock, Christopher McSpadden and wife Carmen of Quanah, Texas, Markus and Ryan Smith of Dallas, and Cameron, Avery, and Spencer Smith of Austin; two great-granddaughters, Leslie and Kyla McSpadden of Quanah; and his baby girl and constant companion, Scruffy.
