Edward Cotton Mansell ABILENE-Services for Charles Edward Cotton Mansell, 81, of Lubbock will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at the Broadview Baptist Church with Reverend Ed Clark officiating. Burial with military honors will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014, in the Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene, Texas. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home. Mr. Mansell passed away on July 5, 2014. Charles was born Sept. 9, 1932, in Littlefield, Texas, to Houston and Ida Mansell. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1953 and was assigned to the Chemical Corp during the Vietnam War. He retired in 1973. Loved ones include his wife, Sandy Mansell; son, Curtis (Patsy) Mansell; daughter, Lynnette Wasden; stepson, Richard (Jessie) Roberts; stepdaughter, Jennifer (Scott) Benton; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
