Larry Raynard McBride LUBBOCK - Larry Raynard McBride, 54, of Lubbock, Texas passed away on May 23, 2014. Larry was born to the parentage of Alvin and Anna McBride on January 6, 1960 in Lubbock. MHMR Lubbock and Omaha MHMR provided Larry's education and job skills, where he graduated in Special Classes. As part of a military family, Larry traveled abroad, receiving medals of Honor in Special Olympics. Larry was an avid and talented basketball player. He attended Lubbock Day Care Center and enjoyed spending time at church, especially Sunday school and with his close friends and family. His loving, caring and inspirational character will truly be missed by those blessed to know him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Anna M. McDaniel McBride. He is survived by his father, Alvin McBride. He leaves to cherish his memories two sisters, Mae Dotsey Gibson and Denise McBride; two brothers, Albert McBride (Sheena) and Brent McBride; six nieces, eight nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. Celebration of life services will be held on Friday, June 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church under the direction of Griffin Mortuary.
