Mabel Ann Brownlow LUBBOCK-Ann Brownlow, 83, of Lubbock went to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan. 18, 2013. No services will be scheduled. Ann was born on June 28, 1929, in Thrall, Texas, to Rufus and Thelma Bownds. She graduated from Thrall High School. She married John A. Brownlow in 1974 in Austin. Ann was employed with SPAG as well as the University of Texas in Austin. She enjoyed playing cards, fishing and knitting. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John. Survivors include five children, Gary Voyles and wife Martha of Lubbock, Sandy Merritt of North Richland Hills, Rusty Voyles of Austin, Jonyce Putman of Lubbock, and Andrea Ramirez and husband Mike of Austin; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. We would like to express our gratitude to the staff of Covenant Medical Center South Six and to the Palliative Care Unit.
