Michael Harold Ward In Loving Memory of Dr. Michael Harold Ward. Dr. Michael Ward passed away on May 28, 2013 at the age of 68, in Las Cruces, N.M. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Forest Hill Church of Christ, 3916 Forest Hill Circle, Forest Hill, TX 76140. Dr. Ward was born in Chicago, Ill. in 1945. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather who cherished family. He also placed a high value on education and professional service. He earned a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Harvard University in 1970 and a medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco in 1975. He became Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. He held posts as a medical oncologist at hospitals and cancer clinics across the country, including Medical Arts Clinic and Covenant Medical Group in Lubbock, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Tigi; his younger brother, Douglas; his uncle, E. Glenn Ward, Jr. and aunt, Adelaide Ward; cousins, Nancy, Angela, Revella, Elaine, and E. Glen III; his six children, Stephen, Geoffrey, Toussaint, Tamiyah, Caryn, and Nisa; and his five grandchildren, Samuel, Chaney, Anju, Javier, and Caris. He is warmly remembered and will be greatly missed by his family and so many others who knew him. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Benevolence Ministry, Forest Hill Church of Christ.
