Walter Pop Driscoll LUBBOCK-Walter Pop Driscoll of Lubbock passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2014, at the age of 65. He was born April 25, 1949, in Santa Barbara, Calif., to the late Bernard and Mary Mumsie (Hadley) Driscoll. Walt graduated from Georgetown Prep School and went on to attend Texas Tech University earning his Bachelor's degree in communication. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served in Vietnam. After honorable discharge Walt worked as a guitar teacher until retiring in 2010 and enjoyed playing in a band called Masterpeace. Walt married Suzette Gallimore on July 3, 1996, in Falls County, Texas. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Suzette; son, Shawn Potter and wife, Amanda; daughter, Rhonda Bearden-Long and husband, Les; five brothers, Bill, B.J., Pete, Tad and David Driscoll; and four grandchildren, Matthew, David, and Kayla Bearden, and Macie Potter.
