Winona Mae Cox LUBBOCK-Winona Mae Cox, 93, of Lubbock passed away on June 4, 2014, in Lubbock with her family at her side. A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 9, 2014, at 10 am in the Abbey Chapel of Resthaven Funeral Home with Barry Tilley officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Winona was born on Jan. 10, 1921, in Rotan, Texas. She married Otho Jerald Cox on Oct. 15, 1941. Winona was a member of Cornerstone Family Church Assembly of God. She worked for many years at Texas Tech in the food service department and with her family at the Elks Lodge. She loved to sew and garden. She was a loving and giving person and always enjoyed helping others. She was preceded in death by her two daughters, Sylvia Marian Donahoo, and Jeroldine Ann Walz; two brothers; one sister. She is survived by her two daughters, Ava Marie Jennings and husband Jerry, Nona Johnson and husband Connie; one son, Jerry Cox and wife Betty; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives, and friends.
