Services for Joe Edd Lambert, 70, of Grand Saline, TX, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2013 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Richard Owens officiating. Interment will follow in Gann Cemetery. Mr. Lambert was born January 2, 1943 in Lufkin, the son of Mildred (Modisette) Lambert and the late William Hayden Lambert and passed away June 15, 2013 in a Tyler hospital. He was a siding contractor in the construction industry. He was the owner and operator of 18 wheelers and had worked for Lufkin Industries. He was a veteran, having served his country in the United States Navy. Survivors include mother, Mildred (Modisette) Lambert of Lufkin; daughter, Ouida Jones of Grand Saline, TX; son, Buddy Lambert of Mineola, TX; daughters, Deidre Smith of Wells, TX, Judy Carnes, Joy Caldwell, Rhonda Becerra; former wife, Ruthie Chote, all of Grand Saline, TX; brother, Jerry Clark Lambert of Utah; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces; and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, William Hayden Lambert; wife, Betty Lambert Johnson; sister, Joyce Foster; and great-grandson, Daniel Weston Redd.
