Michael 'Mike' Scott
Memorial services for Michael "Mike" Scott, 65, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Brother Kenny Hibbs officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.
Mr. Scott was born July 21, 1948 in Houston, Texas to Harry Samuel and Beulah Jane (Porter) Scott, and died Friday, December 6, 2013 at his residence. He had resided in Lufkin for 20 years.
Mr. Scott served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was an engineer for the Southern Pacific Railroad for 23 years. Mr. Scott was an avid hunter and he had managed the Scott Hunting Club for last 20 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lufkin.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph Michael and Jill Marie Scott of Chicago, Illinois, James Robert and Julie Ann Scott of Hudson and Kory Samuel and Ashley Scott of Corsicana; grandchildren, Jack Henry Scott, Judson Michael Scott, Leah Nicole Ryan, Kira Marie Ryan, all of Chicago, Illinois, Jade Alise Scott and Jacob Austin Scott, both of Hudson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia G. and Robert Lopez of Fredericksburg and Sheryl K. and Terry Deason of Houston; nephew and wife, Chad and Cindy Hablinski of Katy; and niece and husband, Janna K. and Doug Warner of Houston.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon prior to the services.
