Funeral services for Wesley Oliver Glover, 92, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Elwyn M. Gipson Memorial Chapel in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park with Reverend Stephen Lantis officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Mr. Glover was born June 10, 1922 in Tioga, Texas to the late Georgia Edna (Guthrie) and Charles Lee Glover. He died Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Glover graduated from Northside High School near White City. He served his country in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II as an aircraft mechanic. He was a service and repairman for Lone Star Gas Company, and was also a farmer. He moved to Lufkin from Muleshoe, Texas in the mid-1980's. Mr. Glover loved to play dominoes. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Lufkin. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Terry A. Young of Huntington; granddaughter, Christina Cassity and husband Daniel R. of Huntington; great-grandchildren, David Powell Cassity and Lauren Elizabeth Cassity, both of Huntington; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Billy Jack and Francyse Hamilton of Athens; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Dorothy Lee Hamilton Glover; his parents; twin brother, Charles L. Glover; brothers, G.C. "Squig" Glover and Ralph M.
