Funeral services for Willie Alfred 'Al' Brock, 81, of Huntington, will be held Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Brother Jackson Colwell officiating. Masonic graveside services will follow in the Gann Cemetery under the auspices of the Homer Masonic Lodge #254, A.F. & A.M. Mr. Brock was born December 6, 1932 in Ratcliff, Texas to Charlie Alfred and Willie (Welch) Brock, and died Thursday, May 1, 2014 in a local hospital. Mr. Brock served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and retired from Texas Foundries following 39 years of employment. He was a past Master of the Homer Masonic Lodge, #254 A.F. & A.M. Mr. Brock enjoyed fishing and being in the outdoors. Mr. Brock was a kind, gentle, fair and honest man, and loved his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Rena M. Brock of Huntington; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Bobby Weaver and Diana and Lynn Griffith, all of Huntington; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Rebecca Brock of Lufkin; granddaughters, Amy Chapel and husband Jeremy 'Tater' of Huntington, and Crystal Miley and husband Jack 'Punkin' of Huntington; grandsons, Cullen, Dalton and Remington Brock, all of Lufkin; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Briley and Blayne Chapel, and Ashley Miley, all of Huntington; sisters, Marie Pyle of Ratcliff, Juanita Pyle and Charlene Pyle and husband Joe 'Bunky', all of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, J.D. Brock; and sister, Faye Naron. Pallbearers will be Cullen Brock, Dalton Brock, Don Willis, Jimmy Wankan, Don Wankan, Ed Traweek, Ken Reeves, and Wes Fielders. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy French, Brant Summers, Donald Ray Willis, Terry Pitts, Danny Steel, Lamar Lightfoot, and Mark Smith. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home in Huntington. Memories and condolences may be added at www.carrowayfuneralhome.com.
