Bruce A. Philip, 66, of Fogelsville, died Thursday, February 15, 2013 in the home of his son, Douglas, of Germansville. He was the husband of the late Marian P. (Howerter) Philip who died last November. Born in Allentown, January 16, 1947, Bruce was the son of the late Paul E. and Althea I. (Masenheimer) Philip. He was employed as an Electrical Maintenance Technician for Coca Cola Fountain USA in Fogelsville for the last 13 years. Prior to that, he worked for the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 25 years. Bruce faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War era. He was a member of Jordan United Church of Christ, Allentown. Survivors: Children, Michelle L. Proffit and her husband, Brian, of Palmerton, Shawn A. Philip and his fiance, Lori Kressler, of Bethlehem, Douglas P.J. Philip of Germansville; brother, Jack J. Philip and his wife, Karen, of Blandon; grandchildren, Andrew, Samantha and Joey. Services: Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday, February 21, 2013 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with the Rev. Dr. David Charles Smith officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Interment with military honors will follow the service at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Allentown.
