Clifford R. Heintzelman
Reverend Clifford R. Heintzelman, 83, departed from this life Wednesday, September 18, 2013, in Whitehall Manor. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Clarence D. and Margaret (Dierolf) Heintzelman. He graduated from William Allen High School in 1948. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1948 to 1949. For several years he worked for Freemans Dairy and Hesss Dept. Store. He then went to work for Stroh Brewery until he retired at the age of 62. After retiring he became a minister, graduating from Myerstown Evangelical Seminary in 2000. He devoted countless hours praying for and counseling residents of area nursing homes. Survivors: Daughters, Susan L. Willard of Edmond, OK and Linda Ruggiero of Chandler, AZ; brother, Clarence, Jr.; sisters, Anna Mae Diefenderfer, Barbara Grammes and Violet Braim; three grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Services: Memorial service 10:30 a.m., Monday, September 23, at Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 Highland St., Allentown. A calling hour will begin at 9:30 a.m. www.trexlerfuneralhome.com.
