Dennis Lee Tredinnick
Dennis Lee Tredinnick 68, of Glen Gardner NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 22, 1945 in Lehighton, PA, Dennis was the son of the late Russell L. Tredinnick, Lehighton PA, and the late Edith (Dreher) Tredinnick Leinthall, Lehighton and Jim Thorpe, PA. He graduated from Jim Thorpe Area H.S. in 1963. He was manager of the 1961 PA State Class C championship basketball team and was inducted into the Jim Thorpe Sports Hall of Fame. He attended Stevens College of Technology and the University of Texas (El Paso). He also served in the U.S. Army as a radar technician, stationed at Fort Bliss, TX. and Freising, Germany. After serving his country for three years, he was a civil engineer and owned, On The Line Drafting and Blueprinting. He was a NJ corrections officer for 20 years, retiring in 2007.Dennis will be remembered for his friendliness, generosity, love of golf, zest for life, sense of humor and embracing everyone he met. Survivors: Dennis is survived by his wife Eulogia (de la Calle) of 40 years. Daughters, Geraldine Edens and husband Wayde (TX), Zelenda Hodgskin and husband Michael (PA), Zena Kirby and husband Luke (NJ); grandchildren, Jackson Edens, Michael, Elena and Calyssa Hodgskin and Andrew Kirby; brothers, Richard and wife Pat (PA) and Bruce (NC). He was predeceased by his sister Lois (Goodwin); brother Russell E.; and grandson Spencer Edens. Services: A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 3, 2013, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Beaver Brook Country Club, Annandale, NJ 08801. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions to Fox Chase Cancer Center can be made in honor of Dennis Lee Tredinnick www.foxchase.org/giving.
