Elmer P. Wagner, 94, of Bethlehem Township, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Jean (Ruth) Wagner. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in December.Born in Seidersville, he was a son of the late Ward Titus and Mamie Elizabeth (Rinker) Wagner.He was a structural iron worker for Local #36 Ironworkers of Bethlehem for many years before retiring in 1982. Elmer honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II for which he received a Purple Heart. He was a member of Calvary Bible Fellowship Church, Coopersburg. Elmers family was his life. Survivors: Wife, Jean; sons, Bradford D. (Monica) Wagner of Hellertown, David E. (Tracy) Wagner of Canadaigua, NY and Ward A. (Maureen) of Bethlehem; daughters, Pamela L. Strauss of Orefield and Hope Ring of Emmaus; twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Gregory, son-in-law, Lin Strauss, brother, Stanley, and sisters, Erma Koch and Evelyn Filo, grandsons, Dennis Schlener, Jr. and Corey Reiman. Services: Will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, in Calvary Bible Fellowship Church, followed by interment with military honors in Friedensville Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Arrangements, Pearson Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
