Jacobs, Gordon F.Gordon F. Jacobs, 83, of Center Valley, died Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth N. (Stauffer) Jacobs. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Frederick D. and Flora M. (Granda) Jacobs. Gordon served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War and was awarded the Purple Heart. Gordon worked at the Bethlehem Steel printery for 37 years, retiring in 1986. He was a life-long St. Louis Cardinals fan. He currently attended Bethany United Methodist Church in Wescosville. Survivors: Sons, Richard E. and wife Virginia L. Jacobs of Quakertown, David S. and wife Andrea D. Jacobs of Allentown; daughters Debra A. and husband William L. Weiant of Macungie, Patti S. and husband Kip L. Williams of Pittsburgh; sister Jeannette A. Wesner of Bethlehem; grandchildren Marcus, Nathan and wife Debra, Rachel, Megan, Tanya and husband Robert, Mark and wife Heidi, Andrew, Ashley and Dylan; great-grandchildren Steven, Julie, and Max. He was predeceased by his brother Donald L. Jacobs. Services: 11:00 A.M. Monday in the Bethany United Methodist Church 1208 Brookside Road, Wescosville. Call 9:30 - 10:45 A.M. Monday in the church.
