Helen Virginia Ginny (Snover) Spaide, 46, of Germansville, passed away suddenly, Friday, September 6, 2013 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of Daniel S. Spaide. The couple celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary last December 17. Born in Trenton, NJ, August 21, 1967, Ginny was the daughter of Kenneth R. and Grace M. (Bittenbender) Snover of Hazleton. She was a graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in English and Secondary Education and a Masters Degree in Guidance from Kutztown University. Since 2001, Ginny was employed as a Guidance and Career Teacher at the Nazareth Area Middle School. Prior to that, she was an English Teacher at the Phillip Lauer Middle School, Wilson Borough. She was a member of Assumption BVM Catholic Church, Slatington. Survivors: In addition to her husband and parents; children, Hannah I. Spaide, Trevor D. Spaide, and Victoria G. Spaide all at home; sisters, Sue E. Crawford and her husband, Kevin of Zion Grove, Cynthia L. Cusate of Freeland, Amy L. Katzen and her husband Andy, of Media; mother-in-law, Connie I. (Rossi) Spaide Ososki of Beaver Meadows; several nieces and nephews. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 14 East Oak Street, Sheppton with the Rev. James M. Torpey as Celebrant. Family and friends may pay their respects from 6:30 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville and 10 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Interment will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery, Drums. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.
