Hugh W. Adams
Hugh W. Adams, 86, of Stroudsburg died on Tuesday, July 26, at his home. He was the loving husband of Anne M. (Scheerder) Adams with whom he had celebrated 54 years of marriage. Born in NYC, NY he was the son of the late Hugh and Mary (Ostrender) Adams. Hugh was living in the Stroudsburg and Nazareth areas for the past 10 years. He grew up in the New York City area. He was a graduate of Princeton University receiving his degree in Political Science. Hugh worked for many years as a training administrator for the National T.B. Association of America in the New York City and Morristown, N.J. areas. He was a army veteran of WWII and a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church of E. Stroudsburg. Hugh was a loving and gracious man always ready to be there for others. He was liked by everyone who came in contact with him and will be missed by all. Services: A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday Aug. 6, at 11 a.m. from St. Matthews Catholic Church E. Stroudsburg, PA. Interment of his ashes will take place at a later date. The Pula & Bensing Funeral Home 23 N. 9th. St. Stroudsburg is in charge of the arrangements.
