James J. Davidick, 64, of Allentown, passed away Friday, June 21, 2013. James was the husband of Susan J. (Barry) Davidick, to whom he was married to for nine years this past February. Born in Hazleton, PA, James was the son of John and Alice (Sudock) Davidick. For 40 years James worked for the Service Electric Cable Company and bowled on their bowling league. Prior to that he served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. At one time Jim was a firefighter. Jim was a very giving man to everyone around him, he developed a close circle of many lifelong friends. He loved fishing and making everyone laugh and smile, especially his grandchildren who adored him. Jim was very skilled and talented and enjoyed the challenge of building or fixing anything! In recent years Jim discovered his gift and love of photography, taking beautiful photos of family, birds, butterflies, and especially flowers! Jim was a member of the American Legion Post 215 in Catasauqua. Survivors: Surviving with his mother, Alice; and his wife, Susan; are his son, Eric J. and his wife, Giovanna, of Bath, PA; daughter, Rebecca E. Dornblaser and her husband, Jason, of Gilbertsville, PA; brother, William Davidick of Hazleton, PA; sister, Rose Ann Kramer and her husband, Jim, of Harleysville; sister-in-law, Patricia A., wife of Steven Schmehl, of Sinking Springs, PA; mother-in-law, Joyce Stenger of Allentown; grandchildren, Wyatt, Myah, Chase, Sophia, Abby, and Macyn. Jim was predeceased by his son, Brian J. Davidick. Services: Thursday, June 27, 2013, at 11 a.m. in ODonnell Funeral Home, 908 Hanover Ave., Allentown, PA.
