I met Joan when she worked for my husband as a hospice nurse. She took care of my aunt a few years ago. My aunt and my mom took a liking to her right away...as I did too. Joan was a very kind, caring, and bubbly person. She was a great nurse! She will be missed. Take care!

To Judy, Lou, and the rest of the family,
My deepest sympathies on your loss. Although I only met your mother a handful of times, I vividly remember her happiness at your wedding, and talking to her for quite a long time. Reading the other guest book entries helped me know her better, and it's clear she was strong, compassionate and was one to always help and think of others. It's so hard to lose someone in the prime of life, as she was, but take some comfort that her soul is resting in peace. My heartfelt condolences to your dad, sister, nephews, and all of the rest of the family.

Thoughts and prayers are with Joan's family who she loved so dearly. She was a great gal with a great sense of humor. Got to know Joan when she came to take care of my ailing father. He connected with her right away as did I. Kept in contact with Joan after my father passed and will miss her and our lunches at Bowmanstown Diner.

Sincere sympathy to Tim and family. Joan was a good friend, and an oncology colleague for years. She was a wonderful nurse, always caring for soul and spirit, not just disease symptoms. She was a great advocate for women with breast cancer and spoke to our oncology nursing chapter about how to best support patients through treatment. Joan was always upbeat, positive, caring and compassionate. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Jo was a classmate of mine at AHSN. She was a terrific nurse, a very caring person and a great inspiration to all who knew her. She was always upbeat even through all her struggles. I shall remember her fondly and hopefully learn how to be more like her. My condolences to her family and her "sister" Darla.
