Johanna S. Ott
Johanna S. Ott, 92, of Nazareth, died on Monday, July 1, 2013, at Moravian Hall Square, Nazareth. Born December 5, 1920 in Nurtingen, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Paul Gustav and Christiana Sophie(Schneider) Ott. She was a member of the Nazareth Moravian Church, Nazareth. She was a graduate of Hunter College, New York, NY and received her masters degree from New York University. Johanna was a Professor Emerita in the Math Department of Moravian College, teaching Calculus for 29 years before retiring in 1985. Prior to her work at Moravian College, she was a deaconess in the Lutheran Church. After retirement she served as President of the Residents Association at Moravian Hall Square. Survivors: She is survived by many nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Barbara Ott of South West Ranches, FL; sister-in-law, Connie Ott of Michigan. She was predeceased by brothers, Frederick Ott, Sr. and Walter Ott. Services: Friends will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Nazareth Moravian Church, 4 S. Main Street, Nazareth, followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. Online condolences may be made at www.schislerfuneralhomes.com.
