John Kauker, 91, of Hellertown, died on Friday, October 18, 2013. He was born in Bethlehem, son of the late Frank and Theresa (Bujtas) Kauker. He was the loving husband of the late Helen (Micolochick) Kauker. John worked at Bethlehem Steel in the #2 and #6 machine shops as a millwright for 42 years before retiring in 1983. He proudly served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy as a chief petty officer aboard the Hillary P. Jones. He was a member of the Bethlehem MORA Club. Survivors: John will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Joan, wife of David Torkos, Janet, wife of Sir Kenneth Towns, and Christina, wife of Joseph Burton; brother, Steven Kauker and wife, Dorothy; grandchildren, Paul John Hoadley, Sara Jayne Hoadley, and Jennifer, wife of Terry Cressman; great-granddaughters, Alyssa Faith Ernst and Madison Rose Cressman; beloved niece, Barbara Stankus. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Elizabeth Stankus and Theresa Saks. Services: Visitation will be held at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, on Tuesday, October 22, from 9 to 10 a.m. A funeral service will follow, in the funeral home. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Allentown.
