Beidler, Joseph A. "Big Joe"86 years of Fullerton, Whitehall Township, passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning July 29, 2014 in Whitehall Manor, where he was a guest in recent years. Born in Allentown to the late Harvey Beidler and Catherine (Pozzebon) Beidler Wambold, he was the husband of the late Regina V. "Gina" (Gallina) Beidler for 60 years at the time of her passing in March of 2008. He was the founder and longtime owner of Fullerton Wilbert Vault Company, their family business now run by his Son, Grandsons, and dedicated employees. He worked tirelessly beside his late wife and family to establish and grow their Company. Big Joe was a faithful member of Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, Whitehall and member of their Golden Agers. He proudly served with the US Marines during WWII, and was honored to be assigned to the Presidential Guard at Camp David during the Truman Administration, and member of Fullerton American Legion Post 367. Survivors: son Joseph P. and his wife Janet K. (Maurer) Beidler of Orefield; grandsons Joseph S. and Jason P. with his wife Tara (Walbert) Beidler; great grandchildren Kylie, Kaden, and Emma; sister Katherine L. "Mick" Shisslak of Kresgeville; brother Edward Beidler and his wife Joan of Wellsboro; along with a host of nieces, nephews and their families; predeceased by sisters Anna Beidler and Margaret Reinhart, along with brother in law John Joe Shisslak, Sr. Services: Private. Interment will be in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery. The Gilbert Funeral Home of Whitehall is honored to handle his arrangements.
