Lewis Gordon Laub, 93, formerly of 612 N. 8th St., Allentown died Saturday, September 21, 2013 in the Health Care Center at the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown. He was the husband of the late Lucy K. (Kehm) Laub. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Gordon L. and Tusnelda (Danner) Laub. A 1937 graduate of Allentown High School, Lewis continued his education at Allentown Business College graduating in 1940. Lewis received an accounting award on June 6, 1958 from Penn State University. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. Lewis began his career in 1940 with Bonney Forge and Tool Works, Allentown retiring in 1982 as production and inventory control supervisor after 42 years of dedicated service. He served the company for 2 years at their plants in Irvine, Scotland and Bergamo, Italy. He was a driver for Reuben Siegfried Chauffers from 1980 to 1999. He was a volunteer in the mail room at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown and participated for over 26 years in the Italian singing and dance group, I. Paesani, performing all over the East Coast. A 32nd Degree Mason, Lewis was a member of New Temple Lodge #720, Lehigh Consistory Valley of Allentown and Rajah Shrine, Blandon. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Allentown for over 78 years. Survivors: Nephew, David wife of Susan Laub; grandnephew, Jason Laub; grandniece, Michelle Laub Haskell.
