Obituary Condolences

Maurice Marin
Maurice Marin, 84 years old, of Tamarac, FL, Holocaust survivor, passed away February 28, 2013 after battling pancreatic cancer for 18 months. He was born in Paris, France to Abraham and Edith Marin, and was the sole member of his family to survive the atrocities of the Holocaust. Though he witnessed the horrifying events that befell his family and lived a childhood filled with terror, Maurice shared a legacy of love, compassion, and good deeds. He taught his family that a history forgotten is a history repeated. Maurices life story is now a part the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC. Maurice was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Survivors: He is survived by his wife Miriam of 66 years; daughters Eydie (Neil) Glickstein, Dr. Suzanne Levine (Dr. Everett Lautin); son Alan (Joni Marin); grandchildren Lawrence (Stacey) Glickstein, Deborah (Brett) Feltingoff, Marisa (Todd) Marlin, Heather Levine; and great-grandchildren Brandon, Danielle, and Alyssa Glickstein, Shayna and Bradley Feltingoff, Carolyn and Lauren Marlin. He will remain in our hearts and minds. Services: Funeral will be held at Old Monpefiore Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Sunday in Queens, NY. Shiva will be held on Sunday, March 3 in Scotch Plains, NJ and in Sarasota, FL March 4 and 5. Contributions: Memorial donations can be made to the Jewish Federation of the Lehigh Valley-HRC in memory of Maurice, or to Temple Beth-El Endowment Foundation.
