Najla T. Naegele Obituary
Naegele, Najla T.Najla T. Naegele peacefully died on June 4, 2014 at home with her family by her side. She was 96 years old. Born in Rochester, N.Y. to the late Katie Malouf Totah and Asa Totah, she was a resident of Bucks County for the last 23 years. Mrs. Naegele earned her normal school degree from Geneseo Normal School (SUNY at Geneseo) and her Bachelor's degree in Education from Buffalo State University (SUNY at Buffalo). For many years she was an elementary school teacher. During World War II she taught school and volunteered as a Grey Lady. She fondly spoke of teaching little English children who were sent to the States during the war. Survivors: The focus of her life was her family. She was married for 64 years to the late Rev. J. Earl Naegele who was pastor of Faith Presbyterian Church, Emmaus, PA. She was the mother of Barbara N. Clark and son-in-law David R. Clark, grandmother of Kristen C. Castonguay, her husband Douglas C. Castonguay, Jonathan D. Clark, and his wife Michelle S. Clark, and great grandmother of Sylvie J. Castonguay, the joy of her last years. She was sister to JoAnne T. Ensign of St. Louis, MO and the late Dr. Victor P. Totah. Services: Family and friends are invited to her memorial service at the Historic Newtown Presbyterian Church, Newtown, PA on Friday, June 13, 2014 at 10 am. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Presbyterian Church, 3002 N. Second St., Emmaus, PA 18049.
