Orville G. Hawk, 95, of Luther Crest, S. Whitehall Township, formerly of Emmaus, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013, in Luther Crest Health Center. He was the husband of the late Marguerite H. (Minnich). Born in Weissport, he was a son of the late Walter C. and Martha (Smith) Hawk. A 1935 graduate of Allentown High School, he was also a graduate of the American Institute of Banking. Employed at First National Bank of Allentown since 1935, Orville began as a messenger and proof clerk and retired as its Chairman of the Board in 1982. An active life-long member of Seibert E. C. Church, Allentown, he served as its Sunday school superintendent and president of the official board. Always very active in community affairs, he had been a leader in civic, educational, religious, and charitable organizations, including Pennsylvania United Way, Allentown Rotary Club and Allentown-Lehigh County Chamber of Commerce. Survivors: Daughters, Judith E. Coulsey and husband, Robert E., Macungie, Jeanne M. Mathias and husband, David L., Emmaus; sister, Althea N. Sell and husband, G. Wesley, Emmaus; sister-in-law, Charlotte Judd, Luther Crest; grandchildren, Rebecca Benz and husband, Charles, Collegeville, Stephen Coulsey, NJ, Andrew Coulsey and fiancee, Carrie Stangle, Allentown; great-grandsons, Stephen Coulsey, Chad and Aaron Benz; nephews; nieces. Brothers, Donald W. and Lee W., preceded him in death. Services: 11 a.m., Tuesday, in Seibert E. C. Church and Resurrection Worship Center, 617 N. Tenth St., Allentown 18102.
