Ronald J. Crow Kroboth, 71 of Walnutport died Thursday, February 6, 2014 in his home. He was the husband of Beverly A. (Shuey) Kroboth; they celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary this past December. Born in Walnutport, he was the son of the late John and Irene (Schneck) Kroboth. He was a US Army veteran serving in Vietnam. Ronald worked as a forklift operator for the American Nickeloid in Walnutport for 32 years before retiring in 2004. He was a member of the Allen ODelke American Legion Post 16, Slatington, the Diamond Fire Co., Oplinger Hower American Legion Lehihg Twsp., the VFW in Egypt, and the Slatington Skeet Club. He enjoyed custom car upholstering, and volunteered with the Slatington Lions Club. He was a member of St. Johns UCC, Slatington. Survivors: Wife; sons, Scott D. Kroboth and wife Carlie and their children Nathan, and Aiden of Nazareth, Michael L. Kroboth and wife Jennifer of Northampton; daughter, Patricia and husband Ricky Smith of Walnutport; grandsons, Brandon and Carter Smith; brothers, Harold and Robert Kroboth; sister, Barbara Hausman. He was predeceased by a sister, Joyce Hess. Services: 11 a.m. Monday February 10, 2014 Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St., Slatington PA. Calling hour 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
